Honest numbers

Why we keep our numbers conservative

Last updated · FloorIt

Quick answer

FloorIt keeps its numbers conservative because we would rather underpromise and overdeliver than overpromise and underdeliver. We show real, steady results you can plan around, not massive ones that sell a dream.

This page lays out how we make money, what a job is really worth, what the first months look like, and how we keep every number on the low side.

Too good to be true? Here are the plain facts

Some people hear about FloorIt and think it sounds too good to be true, or like a scam. We get it. There are a lot of business opportunities online that sell huge numbers and then disappear. We don't want to be trusted because of what we say. We want to show our integrity through what we do.

So here are facts you can check. FloorIt is a brand of Premium Business Group, LLC, a Colorado company in good standing, formed in October 2022. You see the full cost and read the full agreement before you sign. There's a 30-Day Action-Taker Guarantee. You own everything we build in your name, and if you leave, there's no penalty and nothing to buy back.

We'd rather underpromise and overdeliver than overpromise and underdeliver.

How we make money

  • No franchise fee
  • No royalties or cut of your jobs
  • No brand ad fund
  • No fee per lead

You pay a one-time package for the business we build, the equipment, the training and your first 50 leads. After that, our incentives are directly aligned to help you get more jobs. When you get more jobs, you use more finish. When you use more finish, you order more from us, and that is where we profit. We partnered with a manufacturer to get you a high-quality, professional finish.

Compare that with a franchise. A franchise gets paid on the buy-in, plus fees and royalties, whether or not it helped you find customers. Our long-term income only grows when your calendar does. That is why we have every reason to give you real numbers. A partner who signs up expecting a fantasy quits, and a partner who quits never reorders finish.

Why our incentives are aligned with yours

One job, as an example

$2,499

Average job

−$526

Finish $236, buffer rental $40, marketing to win the job $250

$1,973

Left before your labor and taxes

This is an example, not a promise. Your numbers depend on your market, your floors and how you run the business. We show it line by line so you can see where every dollar goes, and change any line to fit your area.

An example, not a promise.

How the demand numbers stay conservative

  • It counts only owner-occupied homes, from U.S. Census counts for the ZIP codes near you. Renters are left out
  • It assumes 35% of those homes have wood floors, even though the National Wood Flooring Association found 52% of homeowners say they do
  • It places homes on the map at Census population centers, so none land on lakes or empty land
  • It figures a job at $2,500 and takes out about $360 to $460 for finish, buffer rental, supplies and gas

Check the demand in your area with our demand tool. It takes the low end of every assumption, as listed above, so it shows a smaller number than most people expect. That smaller number is the one we would rather you plan around. It is an estimate of the market near you, not a prediction of what any one business will earn.

What the first months really look like

  1. 1

    About the first 14 days

We build your business in your name while you start the course. Your finish and kit ship within 10 business days

  2. 2

    After the training

Once you pass the course quizzes, your first 50 leads start and you run your first estimates

  3. 3

    Your first jobs

Most people close a few of their first estimates and get better quickly

  4. 4

    The months after

You collect reviews and before and after photos, and referrals start to come in

  5. 5

    The years after

Floors come due again, so past customers become repeat work

Leads are not sold jobs. Some won't answer, some will shop around, and some floors can't be recoated. Some weeks will be slow, so plan your cash for them. The people who do well call fast, follow up and treat it like a real business from day one. That is the true roadmap, and we'd rather you hear it now than find out later.

What we will never promise

  • That you'll make a set amount of money
  • That every lead is a sale
  • That you can do it without working
  • That a recoat fixes every floor
  • That your area has demand before we have looked at it

If the numbers in your area don't work, we'll tell you. That's what conservative means to us: real, consistent results you can plan around.
