How we get paid

Last updated · FloorIt

Quick answer

FloorIt makes its money on the finish you reorder. You pay a one-time partner package to start, and we cut our profit on it on purpose.

We don't charge for leads. Your first 50 come with the package, and after that, leads come bundled in when you reorder finish. There are no royalties and no cut of your jobs. You should know exactly how any company you work with makes money, so here is all of it.

1. The partner package

  • Pay in full
  • Split it into payments
  • Finance it. Financing starts with a soft credit check that doesn't affect your score

You pay a one-time investment for the business we build, the equipment, the training and your first 50 leads. We go over the exact amount on your call, because it depends on your market.

Every area is different, so we look at yours before the call. You know the full amount, and every part of it, before you sign anything.

What the investment covers
Diagram of how FloorIt gets paid: you get more jobs, you use more finish, you reorder finish from FloorIt, and that is where FloorIt profits
We earn when you reorder finish, so we do best when you are busy.

2. Finish you reorder

Our incentives are directly aligned to help you get more jobs. When you get more jobs, you use more finish. When you use more finish, you order more from us, and that is where we profit. We partnered with a manufacturer to get you a high-quality, professional finish.

The finish is a two-part, water-based urethane under the FloorIt label. You reorder it through us, and you only reorder when you're doing jobs.

More jobs for you means more finish. More finish is where we profit.

Leads after your first 50

After your first 50 leads, we don't charge for leads. When you reorder finish from us, leads come bundled in. You can also run your own marketing with the ad library and training you keep. Over time, many businesses lean more on referrals, repeat customers and their Google profile, and less on paid ads.

What it costs you to run a job

$2,499

Average job

−$526

Finish $236, buffer rental $40, marketing to win the job $250

$1,973

Left before your labor and taxes

Those are the costs of one job in our example: the finish you reorder, a buffer rental at about $40 a day, and what it can cost in marketing to win the job. Beyond that, you have the normal costs of any business, like insurance and taxes. None of it is a cut to us.

An example, not a promise.

Compared with a franchise

  • No franchise fee
  • No royalties or revenue share
  • No brand ad fund
  • No cut of your jobs
  • No fee to leave

A franchise gets paid on the buy-in, plus fees and royalties, whether or not it helped you find customers. We only grow when your calendar does.
