Booking rate

Definition

Booking rate is the share of your leads that book an estimate. You find it by dividing the estimates booked by the number of leads.

What is a booking rate?

Not every lead books an estimate. Your booking rate tells you how many do. Here is the math. Count your leads for a week or a month. Count how many of them booked an estimate. Divide the second number by the first.

For example, if 10 leads come in and 4 of them book, your booking rate is 4 out of 10, or 40%. That example is just to show the math. It is not a number to expect, and yours will depend on your area, your ads and how fast you call.

Booking rate is worth watching because it tells you where to work. If lots of leads come in but few book, the ads are working and the follow-up is not. The fix is usually speed. Call new leads back fast, and follow up, because most people do not book on the first try.

Some of that work can happen without you. Every FloorIt lead gets an instant text and automatic follow-ups, and homeowners can book straight onto your calendar, even while you are at your day job.

Booking rate is the step before your close rate. The booking rate tells you how many leads turn into estimates. The close rate tells you how many estimates turn into jobs. Track both, along with your cost per lead, and you can see where every job comes from.
